Ms28 Flash Pausing At 23%

hi guys, i've been flashing xbox 360's for ages now, done over 100.

recently been given an MS28 to flash, plugged it into my VT6421 and powered it using a connectivity kit.
using Iprep101 and an Ntfs4dos cd i get into dos, type in Dsam 1111111 11111, select the Ixtreme, then do the 10 second trick as usual, but every time i reconnect the power to the drive it starts to dump BUT stops randomly, sometimes 4%, sometimes 15% etc.

any ideas why?

I reset my bios recently as I overclocked my processor, should there be anything in there I should disable?
