Seems like the ban got people who couldn't arsed to upgrade to latest F/W . Oh yeah how does the registration thing work ? My consoles about 15 months old (bought in May 07) and i'm 'out of warrenty' ......


Any word ? Not banned (1.2IX -> 1.3IX -> 1.4 Ixtreme Samsung )

this is on a ms28 drive.  again, my own backups from my own originals (the whole reason i did the backups was because i broke a couple originals being clumsy - i moved them out of the tray, the fell on the floor and were stepped on, so figured i was at least partially safe to backup my own stuff)  either way no loss on my end as i hadn't "played" on live for a couple months but would sign in.

guess i need to d/l mulleter to see the culprit....will update here when i find out which one it was...

Isn't 5.2 an xtreme firmware and not an ixtreme?   Thus not safe on live?

I'm gonna check to see if I got banned yet because I know I played bad rips of Halo3 and COD4 just once each.  I just wanted to test them online but I have been sticking with the legit copies of these games for the past 3 weeks or so.  As soon as I get banned I will do the same and trade with a friend since he doesn't care for XBOX Live just being able to play backups offline.

from what i remember it was ok if you knew the games were stealthed and mine were, so there was no real reason for me to upgrade, or so i thought???

Were you able to rip the SS from the burned games already on DVD?  I am trying to check games for bad rips.

Well the jitter was introduced with 5.3.  So When Microsoft introduced Jitter right before banning.  You may have evaded then but now you haven't.  If they were your own it would mostly be your fw not providing the jitter and any possible 360 angle.

so its still a good idea to update to ixtreme 1.4 if we still arent banned, correct? or is it possibly a bad idea??

Well they got my other xbox the M25 1.3 today around 3pm central time today. but here's the thing, i didn't play any bad rips in this one people so here is what i think the deal is. I made it pass all the ban waves but this one and isn't it funny that now after the fall update they get me? so i think there is a way MS can tell about this thing of our a checker that firmware makers are not aware of. just my four cent! any way made the trade with friend for xbox but i think i'm going to wait before i hit it because if what i think is true there will be a lot more ban happening not just on old FW but the new 1.4 too if my theory is correct. hope i'm not right about this one!

i just bought my second 360 looks like i will be waiting a while before i consider modding...  i dont mind using originals for xbl but what about using offline backups?  is MS keeping a log of even offline gameplay that uploads when connecting to live???

Hey check this out! had the m25 1.3 xbox off after i find out it was banned but tried to connet 30 min ago and it went back online again and it's still up! dont know what's going on tried the m28 1.3 again but no luck with that one. Just got to wait to see what's up, have anybody else been banned before and then unbanned?

xbins went down right around or after more people started to get banned... probably doesn't mean anything though.

click the load from dvd tab ( where the load image is ) in mulleter then u can xtract the ss & check it

 hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm  thats up there in the weird list with alien abductions & crop circles .........................or maybe it down to live being down for a while  which is more likely
