here was my method - lmk if i did it correctly -
i tried to do it directly from mulleter from the disc but couldn't get it to work, so i made isos of my originals w/ imgburn to the hdd (not many so not a big deal), then i used mulleter 10.2 beta to extract the ss.bin and then used kreon checker to check the ss.bin.

You re-ripped the originals and checked the new SS.BINs?  No, that's not what we want.  We want the SS.BINs of the backups.  Read the SS.BIN from your backups and check it using the KreonChecker.

ok, now i have tested my backups of my originals and all came back as "good kreon rip".

i was banned using a 5.2c ms28 drive and have never used anything but my originals or backups of my originals - i have played my backups signed in but i have not ever d/l a game from the internet - these are all my own - i controlled everything - flashing the 360, flashing the sh-d162c - flashing the pioneer.  i used a kreon sh-d162c drive and burned them onto verbatim media w/ a pioneer 111d w/ tdb 1.29 firmware.

hope this helps some people out - if i didn't check them the correct way, lmk and i will redo it to whatever the correct way is.

The main reason for the Ixtreme firmwares is down to timing issues dealt with incorrectly. If you have perfect rips/orginals there is a possiblility your games would return incorrect values to Xbox live.

So although your games appear in the good list (which was debunked anyway as Kreon wasn't bad, it's how the firware dealth with kreon that was) your timings returned to M$ can be way off.  Also you have to remember Kreon fw has jitter included.  M$ requesting a value with jitter added is still potentially wrong if the fw can not manage right which your fw can not.

To the guy who was banned and then unbanned (if it actually gave you banned codes).  If my thoughts on how the live servers work are correct there being multiple live servers, you probably are banned from the 1st you got the message from but it takes time for your serial/Console ID to be blocked from the whole Xbox Live network.

Last may at the start of the first bannings. I was banned after playing a non stealth UEFA (incorrectly stealth) I got the codes but was able to connect after about 5 tries.  The following day it no longer worked.

Yeah that's exactly what I'm going to do Devedander, just thought I would ask another opinion first. One of my friends noted that a message popped up regarding violation of terms, however I didn't get this message. Is this absolute rubbish or an actual banning procedure. Apologies if this has been asked before.

Yes you can extract the ss from the iso before burning, same as extracting from the disc

i was under the impression that only the 1.4 version dealt w/ 360 vs 0 for a degree?

Seems like the ban got people who couldn't arsed to upgrade to latest F/W . Oh yeah how does the registration thing work ? My consoles about 15 months old (bought in May 07) and i'm 'out of warrenty' ......

Any word ? Not banned (1.2IX -> 1.3IX -> 1.4 Ixtreme Samsung )

I never upgraded my firmware and I'm not banned yet. I'm running Xtreme 4.2A, and I play on Live for about 4 hours a day.

Interesting... how long have you been playing on live modded?

This either says that the ban process has some major flaws (that is not even a stealth firmware), they just lag sometimes in banning some people (ie the ban request was sent in but is taking time to propogate... a long time) or you are on some kind of list to be watched/banned/whatever at MS's discretion...

So what is the process to get back online again?  A new 360 and pay for live again?  Or just update the firmware to some new rev and then pay for live again?

New 360, recover your live account... no need to pay for live again.

Well except that MS has a master list of legit numbers, so to replace your banned list you will need to buy another 360 to get another legit key... so I don't see how we win...

In fact they did recently manage to change the key on an xbox through the timing attack and some other complicated stuff... got unbanned by using the key from an unbanned 360... but they had to get the unbanned 360... so no one really gets ahead.
