One question.. all of you who got banned were you playing offline while connected to live?? or were you playing on live?
Just to make sure.

Mine was permanently connected to live, the only rips ive played recently were Orange Box, COD4 and Area 51, the rest were all bought games, it happened while i was playing Colin McRae Dirt single player.

Where do you guys get this kreon checker? I only use dvd mulleter and xbc.

kreonchecker is obsolete, problem was in the older firmwares, not in kreon ripping

Yep, i reakon MS have started a new banwave.....

Brother in law who survived the first and second(?) got banned today, he had a good innings!(was using an old xtreme 5.x), well i did warn him to update!

ALL my 360's, benq, hitachi and sammy are still alive, the sammy has survived the 1st and second bans..........all updated to 1.4

So just out of curiosity, has anyone been banned in the middle of a non backup gaming session (ie from the moment you turn your xbox on to the momenty your live fails on you you have not had a backup in, but at some point live connected, then suddenly didn't anymore because you were banned)?

i notice that just about everyone banned has confirmed bad backups who appearantly got through the first wave

i dont forsee a NEW detection, rather old logs

might be a scare tactic by m$. ban a few stop let them feel settled then ban again
keepin em on their toes

only live logs will tell
no need to speculate though really itll have an explanation soon enough

Firmware is NOT being detected. If it was, then every single one of us would be banned.

Ok here is a story i'd like to share with anyone of you.
I am positive MS is having a list of people they are gonna ban.
I willexplain how i got to these findings.

I survived the 2 banhammers, but one week ago by xbox died, RROD.
So i phoned MS to get it replaced and i gave them my serial number of the xbox, they told me then my warranty has expired because of violation of the terms. Later on i fixed the RROD myzelf and i got back on live, no problems there. But i was scared to be banned the nexed time so i did some research.
I checked my serial number on the service page of MS and there it said my warranty has expired in 1899.
So i checked serial numbers of banned and un banned consoles, all the banned consoles has the same expire date, the unmodified xboxes (3) had a normal expire date(variation) the modded unbanned xboxes had also an expire date of 1899 and 2 of 3 are banned right now (3rd ban wave).

So i came to the conclusion that MS is keeping a list and will ban in waves, online or offline i dont know if there is a difference.

I would like other people to check there serial number on the MS service page banned or unbanned just to be sure my theory is valid.

I read somewhere in a Portuguese forum that someone with an unmoded console (had just got it back - 3 days before - from M$ service for 3RoD repair) and playing only originals (of course, d'oh!) got banned. So, probably the actual banning would be related with former events/logs on LIVE, I guess...

I'll keep my eye on this event as he is contacting MS for an explanation...
