Ts-h943 Ms25 With Nforce 590 Sata Chipset ?
« on: February 03, 2020, 06:09:00 AM »

Hi folks,

my previous xbox 360 with hitachi drive got banned in the most recent wave (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) , I have since aquired a replacement with Samsung H943 with MS25, I have got all the required files/equipment to upgrade it to iXtreme v1.4, I have iprep 101 v006 (with latest def file), iXtreme v1.4 firmware and a bootable usb stick.

I have connected my 360 drive up to my PC's motherboard (Asus M2N32 WS Professional), which uses a nForce 590 sata chipset, on my motherboard I have 6 sata ports, numbered from 1 to 6, 1-3 are populated by my PC's HDD's, the 360 drive is on port no.5. but for the life of me, I am not sure what to select in ipreps sata options, below is what I have available to me in iprep.

In scsi
Scsi/Raid Host controller
Microsoft iScsi initiator

in IDE
Standard Dual Channel IDE controller
NVIDIA nForce Serial ATA controller
NVIDIA nForce Serial ATA controller
NVIDIA nForce Serial ATA controller
Ata channel 0
Ata channel 1

I have selected what I thought was the most obvious, the NVIDIA nForce Serial ATA controller, but as there's 3 listed, how can you tell which is the correct one ?, I reformatted the usb stick and ipreped it selected ata channel 0 and 1 to, I have also moved the 360 drive to port 1 and 2, the best I've got it going when I've booted iprep is that it offers me 4 options, 1) primary ide, 2) secondary ide, 3) xtreme sata, 4) xtreme, but none of them seem to do anything.

are there any step by step guides for flashing with on-board sata controllers, or can anyone point me in the right direction as to what I'm doing wrong ??

Many Thanks, Vaughn.
