System: XBOX360, MS-25, iXtreme1.2
Yes, I do have the files that were asked to be backed up in a 100 places last time I flashed. I think it contains some kind of key or something that is required from the Original XBOX360 system.

My question, is there a tutorial, method or instructions for flashing to iXtreme1.4?
Is it the EXACT same method I used to flash from Xtreme5.2 -> iXtreme1.2

And another question I have is... Will my bad-kreon backups (like Mass Effect, Orange Box) work on iXtreme1.4 or will I have to redo the backups?

its almost the same method just remember that your drive now thinks its a MS28 so you now have to treat it as such when reflashing 2 sec trick or 2 wire.

always redump your hacked firmware as a backup before you start you can always use the key as the main backup if you make a mistake.

I'm confused, why does it think it's MS28?? When I flashed from xtreme5.2 -> iXtreme1.2, and when I was asked to spoof as MS28, I selected "No" ... so it shouldn't be spoofed as MS28, right?

OK Cool!
So basically, since I do have my Orig.Bin, this is what I have to do:

STEP I: Making your hacked.bin
1. Extract from iXtreme12.rar to a directory under the root C:\iXtreme
2. Place a copy of the orig.bin in C:\iXtreme where orig.bin is the original fw of the drive that was first associated to that MB. (I'm assuming this is the one I have in my Backup on my USB Drive that I used to flash original fw to xtreme5.2)
3. In Windows Explorer you double click on Make iXtreme firmware.cmd and a DOS window will open telling you the key. You will also be requested if you want to spoof when the orig.bin is not associated to a ms28. (I want to enter N here because I don't want to spoof my ms25 to ms28)
4. Now you want to see the message saying " ***SUCCESS*** " and Drive Key copied
5. Rename the resulting iX__.bin file to hacked.bin and copy it to your USB Drive.

STEP IV: Flashing your hacked.bin
1. Connect you PC sata cable to the X360 Drive
2. start your x360 and pc to the dos prompt (using the USB key)
3. type mtkflash w /m /sata hacked.bin
4. list of port will appear (if your mtkflash is correct)
** Insert Enable0800 Disc for 15 seconds **
5. select the port on your PC,
6. the pc will flash the firmware to the drive (it will show the 4 banks being flashed)

Just replace the iXtreme1.2 with the newer 1.4, right?

everything sounds ok but I dont think you need the enable0800 disc thats manily for MS28

I'm just trying to determine which speed to choose now, 2X, 5X, 8X or 12X... and then I'm ready to flash!

depends how noisey your drive is its its noisey at 12x then try dropping it.

I mostly use 12x seems to work ok

Alright I just flashed!! Used 12X firmware. Showed all 4 Banks Flashing successfully. Haven't tested the box yet, but hopefully it should be good! Will post back in a minute once I've tested the box.

PS: I did need to use Enable0800 Disc.. was giving some strange error when I didn't.

SUCCESS!!
Just flashed to iXtreme1.4 (12X) from iXtreme1.2 (MS25) ... Everything seems to be working fine. Backups play fine!!
