the firmware has been dumped it just has not been hacked yet because theres no way to flash the firmware however it is possible to spoof another hacked drive to have a nice new modded system

SS = security sector.

If you're not sure, make another bkp. It's also advisable to update to the latest firmware, especially if you go online (almost mandatory).

Also, if you don't want, or can't afford, to be banned don't use bkps online - that is rule number 1.

The 'ball' is on M$ side (most of the time!) and we don't know how they'll play it...
For what we can tell, if they CAN check if your console as a sticker on it and if that violates the terms of service they can/will ban you. Simple.

..the firmware has NOT been dumped.
the key and the ID strings only. not the firmware.

Just thought I'd FYI every1 that the ban hammer struck me last Friday. Brand new 360 (BenQ) bought two weeks ago and flashed with iXtreme 1.41. Also, I only play backups I make and verify.

Has anyone gotten Banned its kinda wierd that its a benq drive I thought they were coming out with the new light on that wasnt moddable yet?

if I play a RETAIL disc in a modded drive and im connected to live can i get banned? or should i just not connect period. I dont want to take any risks.

And if I restore my firmware to original than MS will have no way of knowing I ever modded their crap right? good as new?

You take your chances. Noone here works for MS so we cant say how you get banned. You take the risk if you play online.
