There has to be. Either that or they're actually detecting the firmware.
After the first initial bannings occurred, I played it safe and never even played a backup since then. I've been playing originals for almost 3 months now... and I all of a sudden get banned on the second wave.
So, what does that mean? Either:
A) Information
is being stored when you play backups offline
(IMG:
style_emoticons/default/cool.gif) They have actually found a way to detect the firmware
C) The firmware's giving bad values to be read by xbl's servers (maybe just with older firmwares... maybe not)
and this new "degree value detection" only with "new games"... if there
is degree value detection, then it's NOT just with new games. The latest backup that I played was crackdown, and that was released months ago.
So personally, I think that older firmware is just adding this extra 1 value on every game, backup or not. Maybe it was because I had an older firmware? I had whatever came with firmware toolbox 1.2. That's really the only other thing I can think of.
Plaing with non stealth firmware huh. and to the original guy who said he never connected to Live quit lying man how in the heck did you find out you were banned then moron, this was a week before the live update!
