ok...
So the New xtreme FW will Save My ass From Being Banned because of bad Kreow backup ?

If it fixes the problem (gives a 0-359 value only, even on bad backups)...
Why would you recommend The samsung drive....
Its not like u are going to get banned with Kreon backups ,because this new FW will fix the 0-359 disc thing...

Some of the c4eva transcript from #fw
;[09:53] <c4eva> fact remains a new game may have new timing values and kreon will just put a fake/estimated value in
;[09:55] <c4eva> kreon fw would have to replicate exact routines to do timers, this may not be possible with its drive hardware
;[10:02] <c4eva> soulpet:fact would ramain that you are not using actual 360 drive hardware, and timings could not be trusted

Well, that's bad news.
I was wondering: if a rip as a "not bad ss" (according to the Kreon Checker), is it to be considered good?
Or are these apparently valid ss to be re-considered too?

In my experience I think there is, I was banned in the first wave despite NEVER playing a game backup on Live or even having it connected to the network while playing a backup.

There has to be.  Either that or they're actually detecting the firmware.

After the first initial bannings occurred, I played it safe and never even played a backup since then.  I've been playing originals for almost 3 months now... and I all of a sudden get banned on the second wave.

So, what does that mean?  Either:

A) Information is being stored when you play backups offline
cool.gif They have actually found a way to detect the firmware
C) The firmware's giving bad values to be read by xbl's servers (maybe just with older firmwares... maybe not)

and this new "degree value detection" only with "new games"... if there is degree value detection, then it's NOT just with new games.  The latest backup that I played was crackdown, and that was released months ago.

So personally, I think that older firmware is just adding this extra 1 value on every game, backup or not. Maybe it was because I had an older firmware? I had whatever came with firmware toolbox 1.2.  That's really the only other thing I can think of.

I restored it using 1.1, and updated it with 1.4 all works goooood!, a big thanks to all the ppl who were involved in this.

No I'm having trouble too I posted on this little while ago. The error your getting I'm pretty sure is because you have typed the wrong filename of the .bin you want to flash, Im sure it happened to me once. Either that or something else is wrong in the command line, are you typing
"mtkflash w 14.bin"
Or something similar? Thats always worked for me.
I once put /w and it had that error. Some say put /m in it aswell but Ive never needed to.

Think my prob is more serious  sad.gif
Good luck!

Hey guys, how are you flashing to iXtreme1.4? What instructions/method are you using?
Is it the EXACT SAME method that I used to flash my MS25 from xtreme5.2 to iXtreme1.2? Is it this method:

STEP I: Making your hacked.bin
1. Extract from iXtreme12.rar to a directory under the root C:\iXtreme
2. Place a copy of the orig.bin in C:\iXtreme where orig.bin is the original fw of the drive that was first associated to that MB. (I'm assuming this is the one I have in my Backup on my USB Drive that I used to flash original fw to xtreme5.2)
3. In Windows Explorer you double click on Make iXtreme firmware.cmd and a DOS window will open telling you the key. You will also be requested if you want to spoof when the orig.bin is not associated to a ms28. (I want to enter N here because I don't want to spoof my ms25 to ms28)
4. Now you want to see the message saying " ***SUCCESS*** " and Drive Key copied
5. Rename the resulting iX__.bin file to hacked.bin and copy it to your USB Drive.

STEP IV: Flashing your hacked.bin
1. Connect you PC sata cable to the X360 Drive
2. start your x360 and pc to the dos prompt (using the USB key)
3. type mtkflash w /m /sata hacked.bin
4. list of port will appear (if your mtkflash is correct)
5. select the port on your PC,
6. the pc will flash the firmware to the drive (it will show the 4 banks being flashed

Just replacing the iXtreme1.2 with the new 1.4???

Thanks!!!

Is the FW for the hitachi 78fk out yet? FW topic says 1.4 is out for all versions, but xbox scene post says otherwise.
