Yea I kept getting the same errors on my 47 you have to use a older restore like the garyopa 2.3
then flash with the 1.4...I've been waiting all week for this so thank you C4eva hopefully I can flash and update
to new dash and not be banned again (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I got my FW restored using an older ixtreme version (1.2) but I am still unable to run flashix.bat without receiving the errors like I did before. My drive is in mode B and detected by windows. I wonder why it's not working still. Any ideas?

Why on earth would you take your originally ripped image, and go and patch it? That defeats the entire purpose of ripping it yourself.

Obviously the Wxripper image does not contain the DMI, PFI, SS, and video partition. Thats why my friend, as a standard drive cannot not rip that information from the disk, but can get the other raw information.

my xbox RROd'ed after flashed it didnt contain my orig.bin can i fix this i cannot flash my drive again cuz its not powering on!

3RLOD doesnt mean 'its not powering on'. It will still power on, and as long as you didnt brick your drive you should still be able to read/write to it. Now, since you dont make much sense, i cant really help you. Try rewording your statement in a clear and intelligent manner, and we might be able to help you along.

@Iriez:

I don\\\'t quite understand why we wouldn\\\'t be good in the future if this firmware makes sure games never report a 360 angle. Even if the kreon reported a new bad value in the future, the ixtreme would make sure it stays within the limits making it undetectable, how would this be different in the future?

Who knows what the future holds? I can think of a few possibilities, but the last thing im going to do is publically announce how MS can combat the firmware. Sorry smile.gif

My understanding of it and correct me if im wrong is that although the 360 angle wont be reported the Kreon is not a real 360 drive.  It therfore tries to emulate the 360 drive to create the SS info this process cannot be gaurenteed acurate so in future the only surefire SS is one made on a real 360 drive.

Saying that the kreon drives may be out a bit but may be within values close enough that MS cannot distinguish due to drive diferences across the board.

The question is can M$ find a defnitive way to tell the diff between a kreon SS and a legit drive responce.

That might all be wrong tho and i misunderstand smile.gif

Hi Iriez

The possibilities that you can think of, would c4eva be able to combat these new M$ detections if applied?

When i hit the power button my xbox has 3 red lights and my power brick stays the same when I turn it on (orange). my fans do not start and nothing attemps to turn on. It worked perfect before i flashed it. When i made my Ix14.bin my DOS made it improperly and said in the cmd "the system cannot execute the specified program" but still makes the file. I flash with that and my xbox reads Backups as DVD's. so i turn it off take apart remake ix14.bin and try to flash it but, when i turn on my xbox it doesnt even startup and it has 3 red lights. Turn it off and on nothing same power brick is the same as well orange

Im no expert but it sounds like u have a dead 360 on your hands, did you ground your 360?, does windows still see your 360 drive?, if so try reflashing it with the orig.bin

What if Microsoft releases a game that is supposed to report values of 360?  Then all 1.4 users would be screwed.

Ok  I have the same drive as you and I just flashed it so it can't be the firmware is has to be your PC configuration I have Xp by the way..anyways the way I did it was to restore using the old 2.3 firmware once that was done go to the1.4 folder and double click on flashix.bat then pick my drive letter andse read sped 8x
and that was it. the only thing i can think of is that you restored the drive so oviously the firmware detected it
so either you shut off the 360 and have to put it in modeb again with the slax cd then try flashing again

I've tried restarting the drive and my computer a number of times now - I'm not using slax, I'm doing the 2 wire trick. It still hasn't worked to upgrade to 1.4, I don't have the old 2.3 to restore so I used ixtreme 1.2 instead. I'll try restarting everything another time I guess.
