Hello Friends,

  This is more of a rant then anything else. A thanks goes out to all those who have given us the code to do these amazing things. (im a java programmer (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) )

SO i have two pc's  an Asus pdgdc  with vista and an intel 845 with xp

I have tried internal sata and have tried the VIA 6421 card.

I have tried almost everything possible that i have read going through yes 100 of the top forums and using the search. I have been able to use slax to get the dvd drive into mode b with not much effort although slax never gets all the way through.

Now to windows. I have had the drive letter show about two times in about 100 tries. When it did show it did not have any properties in either right clicking or when going into device manager. IN vista it would never show up. The xp box will let it boot sometimes but sometimes it would hang. Now I have tried everything. I have now ordered a blaster and a sata to usb which i will get wednesday to try that.

I have also updated the bios to the boards I have updated the drivers to the via card as well.

When it did show i ran the 1.2 rav flashxt.bat but it hung trying to get the firmare off the drive
