Question About Flashing Benq And Samsung Drives
« on: December 07, 2007, 05:21:00 PM »

I have a pc with a motherboard ASUS M2N-MX SE (Chipset NVIDIA nForce 430).
This motherboard supports next-generation SATA hard drives based on the new SATA 3Gb/s storage specification. The onboard NVIDIA nForce 405 MCP southbridge allows RAID 0, RAID 1 configurations for four SATA connectors.
Can i use it to flash Benq and Samsung drives?

thanks in advance

what Paperstack.1 sais, but an addition, remember you have to use the 0800 disc to bypass firmguard otherwise it won't work on nforce chipset

it can be easier though you don;t have to use toolbox, iprep (firmtool in this case) can get the key from the dumped (already hacked) firmware and inject it in the new firmware

so, boot pc wit iprep, put in 0800 disc, dump firmware, iprep creates a new hacked version, flash that

yes, but be sure to burn it to a dual layer

btw, maybe it's better to wait a day or two:

"iXtreme v1.4 fw for Sammy/Hitachi/BenQ done testing, release "SOON" don't pester for ETA"

so 1.4 will be there soon
