Bad Ss, How To Restore?
« on: December 05, 2007, 07:29:00 AM »

So I have some backups, all work fine but I checked some of em and a few have a bad SS..
I wanna reburn them but how do i 'restore' the SS?
I dont even know what the function is of it, dunno if i can use a ss from a good rip and place it in a bad rip..

Please help. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Use Mulleter and if it is in their database it will do it for you. Don't know about some older games tho.

This didn't work for me (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) I tried it with my copy of Mass Effect, I extracted the SS, Kreon Checker said it was a bad Kreon Rip, so then in DVD mulleter i tried the AutoFix but it said that it is fine and doesn't need auto fixing.

Clean your original and re-rip with Xbox Backup Creator. Check the SS.bin afterwards.

Way easier than extracting the SS.BIN from the original again? It takes 2 seconds! If you're that concerned about the ss.bin being 'bad', do you really want to take the wrong ss.bin from another version and use that?

Its not easyer, because my friends rips the games for me, he has a kreon drive, I dont. (yet)
Can i just use the SS from another game? i have a crackdown image with a good SS and realy dont wanna go over to someone else to burn a game again..
