Benq Flashing Dos Flash Says Oxff For Status Code
« on: December 03, 2007, 07:05:00 AM »

I managed to extract the benq cd key, and prepared my hacked benq firmware.
when i went to flash it it wont work, no flicking between different Ox numbers, it just stays on OxFF for status code.

Is any soldering needed for flashing? using a nforce 4 chipset.
I'm using the latest dos flash 1.4 beta using the command:-

dosflash w 9c90 1 a0 1 4 ix.bin 0

9c90 is the correct port
drive is connected to a0
ix.bin is the correct name for ixtreme benq

are you specifying the drive of ixbin? Did you erase your current firmware off the drive first?

Also did you verify your key with firmware toolbox before you erased the firmware? Make sure there arnet any error with the orig.bin key

i didnt earse firmware from benq drive, because the guide i read said you only have to do that when using motherboards with via chipsets and mines a nforce4.

i opened the dumped original firmware into toolbox and it reconised it as benq and came up with a cd key.

Did you try using the dosflash auto command and following onscreen instructions?

I find that to be alot easier.

It is just dosflash at the command prompt.

Good luck!
