I agree completely with you. The dual layers add up, the time adds up, kreon drive, new 360 after the other one gets banned. It seems like its just smart to play the original copies all the time and be careful with them.

is it possible to integrate this kreon checker into XBC or mulleter?  This way, when your done ripping your disc, you can verify everything is correct

in addition, is there an easy way to determine your kreon drive's firmware - i can't remember off hand...

Im using Xbox backup Creator 2.7 B0265 to extract the SS from my backups, as XDVDMulleter does not detect my sata drive. Im guessing XDVDMulleter does not have to be used, but is only a choice? So far the 6-7 games I have checked have been good. Will report more later.

Well, his claim is just as validated as the people on xbox.com forums claiming they were banned without modification. There is a percentage of error.

Kreon checker has no 'database'. It simply checks for a string that is in all of the bad SS's.

Possibly. It depends if the SS is bad in their database. I recommend using autofix, then trying kreon checker again. Some situations it works, others not yet.

Wrong he may have been flagged back when the 1st ban wave hit and just now be getting the hammer.
he also could have gotten the console used from someone else who did play a bad rip.

So far this theory looks absolutely correct.

Usually reading readme's, nfo's, or text files included with the app will tell you.

 

So here it is for the kreon checker...

So, you extract ss.bin from your backup using mulleter and save it to whatever directory you want.  Then follow the above directions.
