How Do You Know If A Drive Is Bricked?
« on: November 26, 2007, 03:33:00 PM »

Because of the weird issue I am having with my Hitachi drive, I am curious.  I have three red lights on my 360 and it was only after flashing the drive.  It did not go into modeb "smoothly"...so to speak.  I was able to get it recognized in windows, and flash it.  I tried a game which I know works, and it read unplayable disc, then I turned off the 360 and three red lights.  I am thinking it has something to do with the drive...so is this drive bricked?

Guys,

Looks like the x-clamp was the problem.  After replacement which took about 45 minutes, everything worked great!

Flash was also perfect on 47dj hitachi.

Thanks for your inputs.
