Whats the best brand of xbox 360 dvd rom drive for reading backups?  Whats the easiest to flash?  I have to buy a new drive for mine and can't decide what brand/version to get.  My brother has a 78 hitachi drive flashed using latest Maximus Toolbox, the one that flashes like ixtreme for 46d's and his reads backups flawlessly and they boot just as fast as a retail game.  He's never got an "unplayable disc" or "open tray" when trying to read a backup.  He's using verbatim discs as well as I, but my hitachi 46d with ixtreme 1.2 rev 2 doesn't read backups worth a crap ever since Halo 3 and later games.  My games before those some of them won't read as good anymore and takes a couple times putting game in and out.

Should I just go with a 78 hitachi drive like his since I know his works and flash it the same way he did or is it worth it to get a different brand/version?  If so what do you recommend and with what firmware?  Which guide for flashing would I use?
