Thinking Of Flashing Benq
« on: November 14, 2007, 08:19:00 AM »

all right folks I have some newb questions regarding the benq drive and its flashing... I found a tutorial, this one (http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?showtopic=619356) is that the only way you can do it? I mean,do I really have to solder? I'm up for it but i'm doing my brother's box and he doesn't like the idea of "soldering" and "rewiring".  is flashing back to the original firmware painless? Can I replace my dvd drive with a less painful to flash dvd drive? Hope you guys can help me! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

the best thing you could have done was looking with eyes open to the FIRST page of this topic since there are MUCH active topics about flashing the benq WITHOUT soldering.

Second, you start with saying a newb question, there's a n00b section on the forums as well. and right underneath the place where you clicked "new topic"
theres a pinned one with this text: Pinned:: NO MORE NEWBIE POSTS / No More Non TechnicalPinned:: NO MORE NEWBIE POSTS / No More Non Technical

i suggest you click that one and READ it

no prob, but when you're in a hurry, it's faster to read some topics then wait for an answer of someone (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)
