Wow.  I just wanted to say thanks to C4eva and all of the other involved in creating this firmware.  It is greatly appreciated.  Everything seems to be working flawlessly.  Thanks again.

Thankyou C4 - and  anyone know whats up with #xbins on irc im not getting any prompt to List! for ftp access? Is this just me or something changed I havent been on there in awhile? Thanks for any info

Great work C4, i've had some probs with the quiet firmware on samsungs (backups not loading correct, dd errors) and with the fast fw i didn't have these probs, so tonight i'll try the 5x and 8x to see if those fw's are fine with my backups and if they are quiet

I have exactly the same with 1.2revC on low speed and all working fine on high....just flashed with 1.3 5x and its looking good so far

I flashed my MS28 with no problem whatsoever with the 5x firmware. I don't use iPrep, so can't vouch to what you may or may not have done!

Just try typing /msg xbins !list and see what happens... There was no welcome screen this morning when I got this, so maybe there's a problem with the welcome message on the channel.

Just flashed from 1.2C to 1.3 (5X) using iPREP and it works fine.  Thanks for the great work!

I used the 10 second badflash method BTW.

It sounds like you flashed it with the wrong key.  Try opening up the 1.3 firmware you used in firmware toolbox and verify that the key matches the one that you have backed up.

I did... I'm an idiot.  It never fails... no matter how many systems I've modded I always seem to forget something.  This time I didn't do it, but IPrep failed to backup my original firmware.  I re-flached back to 1.2C and ran iPrep again.  This time everything worked like it was supposed to.  Now running 1.3 at 5x.  It is very quiet, but loading times seem to be quite a bit longer.  Has anyone taken the time to compare loading times amongst the different speeds?

also can anyone test 5x with Oblivion and more importantly Two Worlds (two worlds seems to be the most speed demanding game) since it streams a lot of stuff, and it lagged to hell on 1.2 slow.

I don't have Two Worlds, but can vouch for Oblivion being ok on 5x. You get the odd jitter on screen (which probably means I just need to clear the cache, as I got that anyway!!), but more importantly when the word "Loading.." appears as you move through the environment, it's there for a fraction of a second. Loading between areas (such as through doors, gateways) and loading a saved game doesn't seem to take any longer at all.

I didnt like the Loading times of 5x but was very quiet, so i tried 8x which was a big improvement on speed and wasnt that much noiser then the 5x speed.
I'm currently using the 8x firmware and loading times are too much difference then fast on the 1.2 release.

you cannot flash a samsung with toolbox, since you need to flash it in DOS (READ some tutorials)
