A new firmware release for the Samsung TS-H943 Xbox360 drive.. (v1.3) Improved media detection (v1.3) Fixed PTP DVD Movies (v1.3) More Secure for Xbox Live (V1.3) Multiple Speed Versions Note: In regards to the 'More Secure Xbox Live' feature, it is just further cleanup of the DMI code on failed boot (non-stealth games), plus a quicker lockdown of video partition when requested to reset to the video partition. "PTP" stands for Parallel Track Path DVD's. It is a rare format (approx. 1 out of 50) that is used. Previously they would not play under iXtreme versions. Before anyone asks, the 'secure live' statement does not mean that you risk getting banned with 1.2 ixtreme. It is merely a code cleanup/optimization to make things smoother. The main reason for the release is the various speed options and the dvd movie fix.

so this means that backups made for 1.2 will work on 1.3 with no need to redo backups?

the available read speeds are 2x, 5x, 8x, and 12x. i will probably use the 5x

Sweet multi speed.  Yeah 5x I hear is the best the "quiet 1.2" version is too slow with some games.

Anyone knows the reals 1.2 "slow" speed?
I know it was supposed to be 4x, but as I dont' see it in the 1.3 release, maybe it's 2x or 5x.

Oh crap man, I just opened my new system up last night and flashed the MS25 in there with iXtreme 1.2 - left the warranty sticker looking pretty damn clean too. Is this an absolutely urgent update?, I do want to be totally safe though so I guess so... argh.

lmao , did the same . Gutted! Did a mates thinking it was gonna be out yesturday or saturday , but just flashed 1.2 in the end . Think i'll flash his again when 1.3 is confirmed working etc

I was thinking about re-doing mine for a quieter life. Now I think based on Benq reports I'll go for the 5x too...

If some kind soul could do timings and noise feedback for all firmware speeds that would be ace.

I also have an hitachi box, does the latest ixtreme for Hitachi's still send the info of non stealthed games over live, like the old Samsung ixtreme firmware?

Back OT, excellent release - many thanks! I saw the multi-speed options for the BenQ and was immediately jealous!

I also had a pre modded 360 and it was banned.
Now the new one i have is untouched.
