Hi,

I recently bought a replacement laser from Ebay which is giving me all sorts of problems, strange thing is, this will be the second laser i have bought from the same ebay seller which is giving me the same issues which leades me to beleive it is a problem with the drive itself.

Before anyone asks, i did desolder the anti static point before installing the laser. The laser powers/seeks no problem and even boots the games. However, Game FMV's or intro video's glitch and the sound goes out of sync after a few seconds. Adjusting the pot makes no difference... i had to adjust the pot down to 2.30 just to get the originals to read! Adjusting the pot further makes no difference at all... the fmv's still glitch and the sound still goes out of sync.

Tested using 2 different original and backup games.

The drive is an MS28, and this is the second laser that has had the same problem. Im just about out of idea's on how to fix this thing short of buying a new drive.

If anyone has any idea's what is causing this issue, PLEASE let me know!
