can I use the ixtreme 1.2 rev 2 on all the hitachi's? specifically 78FK

or should I still use the maximus 1.6 for hitachi 0078?

for the hitachi 78, use toolbox 4.5...

ok, I'm getting an error when I try to generate the hacked FW. just before I do the direct drive flash , it keeps saying not all variables were resolved.

I was following textbooks tut and noticed that when I was going through it I didn't get a popup that said do you want to perform a checksum validation.

it just went to the next step where it said FW dumped , do you want to open it . also in the tut it said there should only be one version in the rule set , but when I went through it , it had a bunch of them.

I used iXTREME12_0078+V1 ( I did notice that on the FW toolbox it said ROM version was 1.2)
because there wasn't an option for 1.2

and the next step is where I get the error where it says not all variables were resolved.

anyone know what went wrong?

its right when I try to use the smart hack patcher that things start to go wrong.

I think its because its not giving me a checksum validation , but I don't know why it doesn't ask me for a validation.

I was going to try my other sata card with a sil chipset on it but the readme file that was with the FW toolbox said don't use a SIL sata card.

has anyone got it to work with a SIL 3512 sata card, or should I not even bother?

can I flash this thing using iXtreme.BAT instead?

I don't usually have any problems doing it that way with the other drives.
