returning to HD DVD and Blu-Ray, i think they are doing a great job with the program AnyDVD and AAC shoul desist ading copy protection to any format because it only a matter of time until someone finds a workaround (for hd-dvd 1 month after the release of xbox hd-dvd player)

With the exception of DirecTV you mean ; )

nothing.. nothing is unbreakable/unhackable.  They used to say MD5 was impossible to decrypt.. laugh

You can't decrypt MD5, it's a hashing algorithm, not an encryption algorithm.

I really am glad that people are going out of their way to crack this stuff. Personally I use it not to make backups or copies but to remove some of their "bullshit" output protection that requires certified monitors and video cards. Fire up AnyDVD and have no more problems whatsoever.

It really is a case where I think the consumer is getting screwed much harder than any pirate.

"SlySoft was recently honored by AACS-LA, being declared as public enemy number one in the ongoing battle for copyright protection. To prove them right and to take on the challenge, SlySoft has just released the latest AnyDVD version which beats the latest 4th generation HD-DVD and Blu-Ray copy protection MKBv4, which was expected to be unbreakable," the company said in a statement.

I don't want to start a big ole thing here, but I'm pretty drunk so I will.  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

When will these people learn that information and knowledge are meant to be shared. That includes video. The one thing that sets us apart from other animals is that we share the knowledge we acquire. Stop wasting your time/energy/money on copy protection and spend it on advancing the technology that we all use and love. Geez.

"Knowledge is power".

PS. I can't wait until this thing changes me from being an X-S Young Member. I've been here for 4 years now. So I don't post much. Big deal. That just means I know how to search.
