Maximus Passkey Uses?

this is a total shot in the dark and likely a stupid question, but has anyone tried using
the Maximus 79 Passkey to unbrick earlier Hitachi drives??

Since it's used to read and flash a 79FK/FL drive in a brute force type of way,
I wonder if it would work with taking a bricked Hitachi drive from a bad flash
and allow you to brute force flash the firmware...

Just wondering.. I've got 2 Maximus 79 Passkeys and thought I would need
them when I got me a Xbox 360 Elite.. Much to my surprise the Elite had
a 0078FK drive instead.. just used Slax 2.1 CD and FW Toolbox 4.5 to
flash with the latest iXtreme..
