Alright, so below is my basic way on how to flash your BenQ drive with C4EVA iXtreme v1.1. Although I am stuck at one part.

I followed this tutorial by Be_Vigilant

Many MANY thanks to C4EVA, Schrtom and Caster420 love.gif

I flashed my Benq drive and it worked first time no messing around.

For peeps interested here is my setup and what I did as it differed a little from the readme....

my mobo is a Abit IN9 32X-MAX WiFi nForce 680 (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard
Mobo Specs

I connected the benq drive to my Mobo SATA port.
Turned on the 360
Turned on my PC
Let Windows Vista bootup normally
Set dosflash32 to run in Win XP SP2 compat mode
Ran dosflas32
The window came up saying if you wanna resend the mtk vendor intro cmd. I pressed Yes
I turned off the 360
Waited 2 seconds
Turned on the 360
dosflash32 now came up
I read the FW and saved it as orig.bin
Opened the orig.bin and with a couple of tools made sure it was read OK
I then ran the orig.bin through fast firmtool
Switched back to the still running dosflash32
Selected write FW

Boom

Thats it all working 100% vista flash :-)

Although here is the problem, after the below steps,

When I turn back on my 360 it completely freezes my computer and dosflash32 does not come up. Any idea what the problem is?

Yeah, 32 didn't work for me so I tried with 16 and got it to work eventually.

What is the exact method you used to flash in dos? Also how do I find out what my drive number is for my VIA 6421 PCI card. When I check iPrep it says,

Dev ID: 11063249  Dev I0: DC00D800

I am assuming it is D800 am I correct?

DC00 is the number to exchange for 7000 (from the readme)

right click on your flash drive in my comp. format and then click make bootable disk. once you have that add your dosflash16 files to the flashdrive boot and run the commands in the readme

good luck

correct, DC00 is the right number!

you need to ERASE the benq first before flashing, otherwise you get write errors and an E65 error on the xbox!

I flashed my benq with dos32 and i too thought it was freezing my computer (especially after my first write attempt).  However, one time i just let it run and it eventually did what it was supposed to do (go to dosflash after you power xbox off/on).  just let it try to read the firmware version before you do anything (mine took awhile, around 4 minutes).
