Via Vt6421 Pci Sata Card Not Showing Up In Dos

ok i just bought a new VIA VT6421 PCI SATA CARD and my problem is it wont show up in DOS when i go to flash my drive plz can some one help me to fix this problem
and i am running vista 32-bit
