Can't Seem To Dump Ms28 With Rosewill Rc-215 Card
« on: October 25, 2007, 12:36:00 AM »

I had a perfectly fine Hitachi before, why must they do this to me (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) Got a new Samsung, everyone says it's better than the Hitachi.. well not for me (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

I bought the Rosewill RC-215 card with the VIA chipset on it - the 212 was sold out at the time. I've tried to flash my drive using the Textbook tutorial, but in the best case I can get it to say 01% done and just sit there.

If I try anything else besides 10 seconds it gets 01% and then crashes instead.

I'm using the NTFS4DOS cd and following the instructions exactly (even got a stopwatch involved for the 10 sec, also tried 8 and such) and no dice.

Is this card just the wrong one entirely? I tried searching the name on the forums and couldn't seem to find anything. Am I missing something essential here?

Just to be sure, the xbox power light IS supposed to flash like a crack-addled hipster when it wants to read, right? It's kind of weird that it does that, and none of the tutorials actually mention it.

Oh hi.

Tried it on another computer and ten minutes later I have a flashed drive. Should have done that sooner, now I wasted four hours (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

Oh well, at least it works (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
