Works perfectly fine.

Using Dosflash 16 I read my firmware to a floppydisk, created the firmwarefile using C4E's Benq iXtreme 1.1 package, put the newly created "benq-ix.bin" file onto the same floppydisk, I erased my original Benq firmware (the one in my DVD-drive) and then I flashed the new "benq-ix.bin" file to the drive using Dosflash 16 again.

I've tried a couple of my backups and they've all worked very well.

Thank you C4E, much respect.  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I have a question? Will this be good for all versions of benq drives?

Thanks in advance I am tryin not to spoof as 3-4 of my friends who ordered sammy drive got screwed with unmodable hitachi drives or modified pc drives kinda don't want to take the gamble on $60 with those odds

Hi, I am a bit confused about spoofing. I have successfully replaced my original Hitachi drive with a Benq.

I have replaced the key, but I have not spoofed it.

I only play originals, do I need to spoof it if I play on Live?

It needs to be spoofed or you will get E66.

Hmm, thanks for your reply.

I tried spoofing it and when I put an original in I got the "To play this disc put it in an Xbox 360 console"

I wasn't sure what I had done wrong so I tried just replacing the key, and it works fine. I get no E66 error.

Maybe I didn't replace they key in my first attempt, I'm sure I did tho uhh.gif

Anyways, the Benq drive is working fine, so I guess I must have done something right!

Thanks for your quick reply.
