the drive is 1005 a hitachi ROM VER 0059DJ

and the firmware is

iXtreme-HitachiAll-RTMv3

2nd time ive tried now

I did exaclty what the guide said and booted up with a dvd in the drive
booted my pc up with the linux cd waited until the login screen

tested it was in mode b: it was

then rebooted my pc

checked that the dvd drive was in my computer and in device manager it was - then got the drive number
g:

and ran from the cmd prompt the command

FLASHIX.BAT G 1234


tehn it says dumping the current firmware
done.

the system cannot execute the specified program
ERROR: Hitachi drive build was NOT detected


Im at a loss! can anyone help?
Im using a P4I65G mobo if that helps
