Benq Done Now 0079fl!

Just hoping to to get a discussion going here about what would be needed to overcome the 79FL drive. Im new to the hardware modification business, however I have a degree in Computer Science and am willing to give my time. Anyone else?

1. As far as I know, it's just not possible without the passkey and it won't ever be (from what I've been told, don't flame me!)
2. M$ is phaseing out these drives, why spend more time on a drive that won't be around in the next few months?

But the real question is why does Microsoft want to phase out the only drive that can't be now easily modded?

Because they just made a huge deal with Liteon to produce tons of new benq drives. And because many of these drives have already been produced and bought by M$.

And until very recently the benq was un hackable.

Take this with an *absolute* grain of salt.....but I did hear that software flashing for this drive is next. JUST A RUMOR, so take it just as that and don't believe me, but just passing along some idle chatter that I heard over the weekend.
