« Reply #240 on: November 09, 2007, 06:28:00 AM »

Just flashed my Benq drive with DosFlash32, with nforce 4. Worked a treat, very easy to do in a matter of minutes. No unplugging of any drives Sata,IDE, DVDRW or HDs. Brilliant!  biggrin.gif

I've resisted asking this for a long time, but are you trying to say "thank you very much" or what the hell does that mean?

ignore that ignorant ass.

He's asking the exact same questions at least twice in different topics and he's pretty annoying with that thangs of him.
He's also not reading anything because all his questions can be found in stickies or active topics.
I won't help him anymore with anything he asks.

Yes i ask the same question in 2 topic because 1. I don't know in which topic belong the question and 2. To have an answer for one or another topic.
I'm sorry if i do something that it is wrong but i don't think that is wrong to ask the same question in 2 topics.
thang you.

Hi i am very newe to xbox 360 and flashing drives.;
I have read loads, and successfully flashed a benq.
When i inseted a backup of forza motorsport 2 it loads up when you go to play the elite freezes instantly everytime, this is the first backup i have tried the image has been tested as a stealth checked and everything else.
Because i am lost i searched through my pc and found a screenshot from when i did it and the
original firmware version benq vad 6038 62430c
ixtreme firmware version benq vad 6038 64930c
drive key copied
drive serial copied
drive version spoofed
the ixtreme version is ready to be flashed!

What i am asking is,is it correct that the firmware versions dont match.Roms is it?

HI IAM NEW TO THIS I USED THE PORT UNDERNEATH THE IDE CONNCETOR,AND IT ALL WENT WELL.
ORGINALLY I USED THE PORT TO THE LEFT OF THE IDE CONNECTOR,BUT COULDNT GET IT TO TALK TO THE BENQ!
AS SOON AS I USED THE PORT UNDERNEATH THE IDE CONNECTOR(THE PORT WAS LABELLED CN1 ON MY CARD) IT WORKED FIRST TIME,AND I HAVE NEVER FLASHED ANY XBOX360 DRIVE BEFORE!
CREDIT GOES TO ALL THE PROGRAMMERS AND BETA TESTERS

sorry i have just realised its in caps,
i dont mean to be rude at all!

So i've finally had success with a 3rd machine but rather than using my via6421a card, i used this 3rd machine's onboard via8237 on an msi motherboard. Worked in dos without a single glitch.

Flashed the xtreme version so i could play all my previous games.

I know i can play on live as long as my backup is stealth patched - can anyone confirm this pls? or would you recommend flashing to an ixtreme fw?

Thanks!

First, I'm so sorry for my english, and i hope you can understand me, thanks.

I need a little help. My chipsets is NForce4 Serial ATA Controller

I get my port number from both systeminfo and iPrep - 09F0, so I guess that is the correct one.
I try to Soft Flashing the BenQ in DOS manual mode
First I input:
DosFlash r 09F0 1 a0 1 4 a:\orig.bin 0
Display "if you wanna resend the mtk vendor intro cmd, press Yes" and there comes The Problem. I cannot write neither YES or NO. In a matter of fact after the question I cannot write anything as if my keyboard is disconnected.
So... Help Please sad.gif
I also tried DosFlash  r 09F0 1 a0 1 4 a:\orig.bin 1 - and there was the same situation.
When I tried only DosFlash - Enter it shows me the IDE ports and SATA port with None on each and on the last line was writhen - There are no ATAPI device present - or something like it.
I think that the problem is somewhere in the connection between the X and the PC, but I do not know where am I wrong.
So please if someone knows please help me.
And again Sorry for my bad English.

Try to use this command

DosFlash r 09F0 1 a0 1 4 a:\orig.bin

Dont use the 0 or the 1 that is how I got mine to work

What is the difference if you put or not put the parameter 1 or 0 to the end of the dos command.
A lot of thanks.

Succesfully Flashed a BenQ drive with onboard VIA8237. I tried Dosflasf32 but then XP crashed every time. I had succes with Dosflash16 with the standard flashing commands. I used the NTFS4DOs CD to boot into DOS.

keep up the good work
