hello

i got xbox to do, Im not a expert so please.. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

that's what I did:

drive replacement, from m28 to m25
I'm using latest ixtreme 1.2
1. I dump firmware - fine
2. On end of dumping xtreme ask me do I wont to spoof firmware becose was different version or something, I press Y
3. I reboot and flash
4 Now console is working and drive too but when Im inserting original or backup is saying - please put disc into 360 console.

What i have to do to get drive working?
I still got original backup. I place this file inside xtreme folder and click cmd, and this give me new one, but now when I wont to import this file to iPrep is saying is incorrect firmware.

p.s. what is command to restore firmware to original in ixtreme? irestore don't work (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

You dumped the firmware from your replacement drive?  You dont need to do that - you need to prep a hacked firmware with your orig.bin from the ms28 and flash that to your ms25.  It should not be ms25 firmware, but ms28.

So I need connect my old drive, dump firmware, in windows put this firmware into hacked folder and run .cmd file, and then what? copy this file onto my pendrive or i haveto do iprep again and select this firmware?

If its quicker and less complicated, I DONT have to read backups on new one, I just need working drive to sell this console, so how I need to do this? There is any tutorial for this? I was looking for something but i spend 3 hours on google and this forum and I fount lots of topics but NOT exactly like mine problem.

please help me and tell me what I have to do from a to z (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
I flash couple drives before but I didn't do any replacements

Shortly,you have a broken ms28 and you want to replace it with ms25.
If so,get ms28's orig.bin,open it with Maximus fw toolbox and get the key.Open a ms25 orig.bin and paste that key and spoof the drive as ms28.After that flash it.It's very simple.

Or, do this. Download samtool v0.7i. Put your ms25.bin and your ms28.bin in the same directory as samtool.exe. Open a command prompt window and type:

samtool ms28.bin ms25.bin

Type 'Y' when it asks you if you want to spoof.

Then you are done. You could also used iXtreme.bin instead of ms25.bin if you want to go straight to a hacked firmware.
