Costco!!! Used to work there, 100% guarenteed satisfaction, return ANYTHING IN ANY CONDITION, they will give u a full refund online or store bought, just have the recipt.

Also my friend did it at walmart a month ago, they dont check the sticker.

But at costco you could smash it into peices and as long as your a member they will give u a full LIFETIME refund, dispite what the manfacture warrenty is. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)  COMPLETLEY LIGIT!!!

Side note, I kept getting no apti devices found when i was reading it, what would of been the cause of that???

it's true, costco has a great return policy, you can take back a computer after 6 months and just say "I don't want it anymore" and they'll take it back and as ajadedego said, it's 100% legit, they have a great return policy, I love costco.

Same here! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Hopefully we can see things happening soon. I have 3 xbox360´s and 2 have BenQ drives, and one is a launch machine which is fixed with the RBJTech X-Clamp mod and has Ixtreme, but I dont trust it to live for so long anymore so hopefully I can get to mod 1 of my 2 new 360´s. Now I'm all excited  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif)
Though I'd like to get the dosflash first, since I'd rather get rid of my BenQ
I have an extra MS-25 and I've had little problems with sammys
... cant wait  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/bdaybiggrin.gif)

Perfect timing as I have 2 systems out for repair (3RLOD). One back this week and the other who knows. I would think they might have the Benq drive in them when they come back, hope not but seems to be the way they are going.

Just a quick question for someone, everyone keeps saying "great can get rid of my benq drive".
so do you need to get rid of it? or can you read the fw and rewrite it to the same drive, or do i have to get a hitachi or sam to write the new fw to? thx!

there's no hacked firmware for the benq, so the only route now is to dump the benq firmware, extract the key, and patch it into a samsung drive.

i think you missed the post.. the beta of the benq FW is going into testing this weekend (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) so no need to dump the drive anymore, in a couple of weeks you can just flash.

Er, you'll still have to dump the original firmware to get the drive key...

what are you talking about? You'll still have to dump the firmware from the benq, extract the key, then either use the firmware tool box or hex edit it into a new firmware.

As of now there is no benq ixtreme. This new firmware might not be out for weeks, so don't hold your breath.

The only working solution now, as in today, is to dump the benq firmware and extract they key, then patch it into a samsung drive, which then must be spoofed to report as a benq.

Now, if this new dosflash can dump and read the drives without soldering, great. Thing is, the soldering isn't that big of a deal. Although, I'm sure it will be welcome for those who refuse to touch a soldering iron.

I assume he meant to say, "no need to replace the drive anymore...."

good stuff thx, just wanted to make sure if the fw was still going to require a new drive then i'd have to order it so its ready to go. but *hopefully soon (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)* the ability to write to the same drive is good news! thx for the info
