Hitachi 0079fl Troubles

I just bought a Halo 3 Edition 360 in hopes of placing my already hacked Hitachi 0059DJ in it to replace the 0079FL that came in it. Now I am finding I have to order this passkey to do this? Is there any possible way to read the key off the 0079FL? I dont want to flash it, I just need the key to place on my 0059DJ....

I am very tempted to return it and hunt for an older system off of Craigslist or something. I could care less about the halo box it was just all bestbuy had when I went in to purchase one.

You may have a problem returning it if you opened the xbox up

You have a huge problem - like impossibility, for it be very naughty

I am in near the exact same boat.  My 59DJ xbox died on me.  Why would you go to all the trouble of getting the drive to a spoofable state just to replace it with an old drive?  Just flash the new one and keep the old one for spares!  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)
