I have a problem where I can't restore my hitachi 59DJ to its original firmware. I think it has Maximus-Garyopa Hitachi-LG Xtreme FW v2.3 Stealth 8in1 Revision 2 on it. I'm trying to restore it for a firmware upgrade to Commodore4Eva iXtreme Hitachi-LG v1.2 rev2, but it says that drive cannot be flashed and its caused by one of the four problems.

1. Drive is not a working drive.
2. Try flashing in safe mode.
3. Quit All Backround Programs.
4. Drive must be in mode b with dvd in it.

My drive is in mode b. It's detected by windows and it takes two ejects to come out. I don't know whats the problem. Any tips will help. Thanks.

before it even hits the first the stage. it just says its can't restore it. It doesn't even go into the first stage because of this.

Your drive is empty, right? no DVD inside?
Did you select the correct drive letter? With the new .bat files you just double click
restore.bat and then the command prompt will require you to type in the drive letter.

yeah my drive is empty. Yes i aso typed the letter of the drive, it just doesn't allow me to flash. It says drive cannot be restored.

are you using the ixtreme restore.bat? if so you need to use the original restore.bat with the firmware you have flashed.  Maximus-Garyopa Hitachi-LG Xtreme FW v2.3 Stealth 8in1 Revision 2

Right on the marbles. Thanks. It seems I had to go back to the restore.bat for the firmware I currently flashed on my drive. Then go back and flash with ixtreme.

I tried it and it worked. Sorry forgot to post results. Restore using my firmware's old restore.bat and I used flashix.bat from the ixtreme firmware. My drive flashed 100% sucessfully. Thanks for everyones help.
