Ms28 Flash Stopped At 0% - Flashing Green Led
« on: October 11, 2007, 11:38:00 PM »

Ok so I tried to flash the drive with the 10 sec trick for a MS28, have backed up orig.bin and key, I tried to flash it and it stopped at 0%.  Now the xbox LED flashes green when I turn it on, when i go into mtkflash, it recognizes that there is an xtreme drive there but when i try the 10 sec trick, nothing happens, keeps halting at nothing and do not get any %

this just happened to me but mine stopped at 97% on the third bank. for me mtkflash e wasnt working because the 10 second trick wasnt working...try hitting the power or eject button at the exact same time you select the xtreme drive. took me a few tries to get it exactly the same time, but i had tried the 10 second trick for hours before this...

good luck  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

do u do mtkflash e just like the 10 sec trick?  also t0m, when you say hit the power button at the same time you select xtreme drive, is that powering it back on like the 10 sec trick

also i have noticed that when the xbox now has a blinking green led, the time it takes to fully power down, the brick going from green to orange is like 5 seconds, does that have any meaning, just an observation

when i tried mtkflash e it brought up a list of drives showing xtreme on pri master (all my other stuff was un plugged) but didnt do anything... i was under the impression i had to get the 10 sec trick to work, but im not positive (hopefully an expert can verify).

yup do it exactly the same way as the ten second trick...just make sure its shut right off (mine was taking an extra few seconds to shut down too) then instead of selecting xtreme and counting to 10 just select it at the exact same time you power the xbox on ( i was going back and forth between power/eject to turn it on during my marathon, so i cant remember which one i used the time it worked).

im using this card. i was flashing an ms28. at first everything went perfectly...i dumped patched and flashed the drive on my first try, but it failed flashing at 97%. after that the 10 second trick (which had just worked for me on dump/flash) stopped working. i tried the 10 sec trick/read forums for 2 days until i found a post saying to try them at the same time. i tried that about 6 times and it worked. it seriously has to be exact ( at least for me it did)

There were 2 bricked samsungs. No eject function with blinking green light.I turned xbox on then pc and typed mtkflash e.List came up chose xtreme primary master and hit the button(maybe i tried 10 sec trick there. Not so sure but you can test it).Pc locked up.Turned both of them off and turned them on xbox then pc.Typed mtkflash e and it did it.After that without the 10 sec trick,i flashed those samsungs. They were ms25 so i didn't need to use 10 sec trick to flash.
