Samsung Ts Drive Motor Not Spinning
« on: October 09, 2007, 05:45:00 AM »

I Flashed many xbox 360 drives, so I have the experience!

Now I have 1 xbox 360 elite with the BENQ drive, I read the original firmware, and I have the right key.

I ordered online the samsung ms25, and I flashed the drive with the ixtreme 1.2revc and everything seems to be ok, but not!
The dvddrive is recognist by the xbox and the tray can be eject en reject. But when I inserted a dvd/cd the drive spinmotor doesn't spin my media (original x360/xbox games, music cd's or dvd movies).

When I insert a dvd the laser begins reading my disc but he won't spin the dvd up...

I don't know or it is my fault or the dvdspin motor is damaged?

Sorry about my bad english (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

I do not think it is anything you did wrong. It sounds like the drive motor is bad.

Another same drive I tested, with the same firmware as I used on the 'dead motor' drive, worked fine, so I also think the motor is bad...

The guy who sold me the dvd drive told me that it is a flash fault.

I flashed the drive and then he didn't spin anymore, so I can't load the enable 0800 disc to get the drive in recovery mode.

Is there a option to flash or erase the flash from the drive.

I have found the MKTFLASH E function who erases the firmware from the drive. So then I can dump the original firmware to the drive?
