Any hitatchi or samsung drive will let you flash xtreme 5.x firmware to it which allows xbox1 single layer backups. The most reliable drive is kind of hard to say, they're all about the same to be honest Personally, I like the ms-28's but again, that's me (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

5.3 will let you play unpatched games which can probably get you banned ixtreme will only play dual layer disks and when a unpatched game is detected doesnt save any log in system of it just in case ms is detetcting bad attempts as well. id go with ixtreme and play my xbox1 backups on xbox1

I Like the MS25, the oldest drive, easiest to flash from usb using iPrep or Xtreme Boot Maker. Hitachi's are nice! Benq is nice, and when they release the ixtreme firmware for it BEATIFULL.

Hitachi drives have never and will never be able to play single layer Xbox 1 backups.

So far for me the Samsung drives have worked the best, even thought I had a Hitachi drive with a chip, but that one went when a lighting storm hit and fried it, but other then that it worked great.

From USB? Looks like I need to do more searching (unless you want to let me know how you do that, it'll make my life so much easier).

He is talking about booting from a USB device.  Flashing of Samsungs has to be done using mtkflash and an appropriated sata chipset.

That's right. There is so far no option to flash the drive using a usbstick in your xbox.

They tried to make an exploit using the kiosk disc, but after all the updates the disc won't work, M$ disables it. So no future exploits using the disc.

I saw a video on Youtube, a guy made an exploit using his psp. Or it was real, I dont know...

:KICK

Flashing using iPrep, XBM of Firmware Toolbox is a piece of cake, you need more expierence when you go spoof drives or when you must solder drives to get them in the recovery mode to read the dvdkey.

I meant usb as in usb to sata on PC not usb stick in 360 but nevermind that. That's good (in a way), it's what I thought which means I am on the right track... anyways best not hijack this topic.
