I know that I need the key from the benq drive to spoof the samsung. When I dumb the benq how do I save the file so I can open it with a hex editor to find the key? If it is saved automatically where is it saved?

Sorry, i'm still new to this (IMG:style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif)

I'm using a tutorial that suggests Schtroms DosFlash to get the firmware off the benq.

I just quickly read over the dosflash tutorial, but it seems like you have to type the file you want to save it as like "..... benq.bin" and press enter (the ....'s being the command to read the firmware). Then check the device that you booted from for a file named whatever you typed in.

Type ( R ) to read flash. Then type name you want to save flash as (orig) or something and hit enter. it will read the flash and save it under the name you gave it.

You did do the trace cuts and installed a switch right?

I haven't actually done any of the work yet, just trying to make sure I have all the information before I start (plus mid-terms this week).
