Im planning in buying a new Xbox 360 but i want to hack it but i know all the dvd drives dont work. From a previouse forum it looks like the Xbox 360 Halo edition comes with a drive you cant hack. What drive does the Xbox 360 with the HDMI come with? anyone knows... Or should i just buy a used system?

Every system can now be hacked to some degree. If you're lucky you'll get the BenQ. Previously, this was unmoddable...now it is the drive of choice. Keep reading, you're in the right place.

Halo comes with 79 drive which you can hack but you need passkey. the benq drive can be hacked but no firmware for it so you will need to buy a hitachi or samsung for it and get key from benq drive. all new premium come with hdmi and new core that comes out at end of month comes with hdmi

so is there anyway to hack the 79FL drive without the passkey? also, should i return it and try to get the Ben drive? what is the easiest way to get a new xbox and get it modded?

nope all 79 drives need passkey as of now
