Samsung Ms28 Locks Up, Trying To Loadup Winxp
« on: October 04, 2007, 05:28:00 PM »

I have flash my Samsung Ms28 in dos without any probs with iXtreme_Samsung_v1.2 revC firmware and
the 10 sec trick. But when i try to startup winxp it just locks up when it checks my sata ports. I've tried the 0800 disk and that did not work either. what i want to do is backup my games using my xbox 360 drive.
Any help please. Also I have VIA 8237 Integrated Sata chipset.

Did you try another port to hook 360 up?

I got an MS25 that i just flash with the xtrm0800 firmware before creating a buckup. Drive is recognised in windows without a hitch on a Via 8237 chipset.

You cannot use iXtreme 1.2C to backup on the PC, you have to use Xtreme 5.3.

I flashed it with that firmware as well, but no luck.

I also tried this firmware aswell, but no luck. I've ordered the Samsung SH-D162C Drive,
which will make things allot easier.
