ok so windows reckonizes my drive. Im doing this all in safe mode by the way. Now when i go to my folder with cmd and use flashix.bat with the xtreme 1.2 rev2 everything works it creates a backup and than an error appears it says 16 bit ms-dos subsystem at the top than excatly the ntvdm cpu has encountered an illegal instuction cs:056e ip:1089 op65 63 69 66 79 chose close to terminate so i do that it says Same: hitachi dvd drive is ixtreme
system will now exit
flashing process not needed on youre device

i am using sata ports iy should work considering it shows in windows.

ok so you would think its done but when i pop in a burnd version of halo 2 is shows up as a dvd video

ive tried on friday and now ive tried agian about 10 times so its really pissing me off. Everybody gets there flashed but mine this is gay

im running the hitachi 47dj
win xp in safe mode
in mode b for sure beaucse it shows up in windows
firware ixtreme 1.2 stealth rev 2

maby this firware is to new for the drive is was made in october 2005

cant anyone help me this is bullshit i just blew $50 on the xectuer connectivity kit and it turns out it wasnt the one with the usb u had to sue sata.. i couldve almost bought halo3 for that

Your trying to flash with Ixtreme on a Hatchi? Ixtreme is for Toshiba/Samsungs (if Im not mistaken). You should be using the latest version of garyopus. Not TS firmware ?

no there is ixtreme firmware out for both hitachi and samsungs now (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

majordouche , is your backup of halo2 burned to a dual layer dvd9? , as the ixtreme firmware wont play orig xbox games off standard dvd5

get a proper pci sata card like the sil3112, it will work perfect with hitachi 46/47/59/78

yah i used the verbatim or whatever dual layer and set my lg burnder apparearently atomatically sets to dvd-rom but i shouldnt have cheaped out i shouldve got the usb one i only looked at the cheaper one now i need $30 for the sata card. So instead i went onto my dads computer with safe mode i dont know his password than i got that error and ive tried it several times

i think i know the problem my firware which i downloaded from a torrent is not working but not sure ok i looked closly and thsi guides picture of firmware looks differnet than mine

Just use toolbox 4.0 to flash your Hitachi drive. Read the tutorial file that comes with it first tho.

why not try a search and if you dont know where to get programs from you shouldnt even be modding a 360 in my opinion.

ok well im not even sure anymore its really pissing me off all i want to do is play halo 2 which i lent to my friend and i downloaded a copy to test than it only plays as a dvd is that to much to ask? honestly this modding thing is a bunch of bullshit it doesnt even work and commedores garbage does not work it has more error than windows vista.

no he scratched it to bits so he gave me his airsoft gun instead so i have a scrathed halo 2 and its not only that i have this kit that puits it into mode b that i paid for
