« on: September 28, 2007, 03:22:00 PM »

Hey, i had a Xbox 360 with the 3 red lights of death, so i sent my xbox in and got a brand new one back.  i got a new drive, the Philips BenQ VAD6038. I have heard that the new drive runs alot quietier but, unforntualy i'm not aware of  any way to mod this drive. I have seen picture of over  Phillip VAD6038 drives, but my lable on the drive looks different looks different from these, heres the pictures

Is there any firmware available, so i can play my backed up games? Is it possible to do it without soddering the drive in anyway???

Please let me know asap
Thx

There is no firmware out for that drive yet. The only way to modify that 360 is to

a.) Wait for firmware.

b.) Spoof another drive with that key from the BenQ.

FYI the key is not easy to get without some modifying of the Benq drive though.

Try using the search... there are lots of threads about this.
Basically you need to solder in a switch to extract your benq's firmware.
Currently there is no benq hacked firmware.
