Hi guys!
Im in a bit of a pickle,
I have two 360's ...one of them had a hitatchi drive...which was easily flashed using my pc's onboard sata back in the day (with the original XTREME firmare)....and works fine....(until it got banned online)
I then purchased another 360 as it was very cheap..opened it up and discovered it was a samsung drive....
My onboard SATA would not recognise this drive, so i invested in one of the recommended external SATA cards...but my pc would still not detect it..
I sent the drive away to a friend, who had a spare hitatchi drive lying around, he explained to me that he had took my "key" off the samsung drive...and ported it onto the spare hitatchi drive he had lying about... ( At least i think it was a hitatchi, It was ages ago since he sent me the drive back and i closed it all back up in the case.....but when i eject the tray..I have the two holes either side of the disk tray which would suggest it is a hitatchi drive surely?)
Anyway, i recieved the new drive...whakced it in my xbox and it worked without a problem.....
the guy sent me a floppy disk with the new hitatchi drive...which contains the following files... :-.

I now have a 360 which used to contain a samsung drive.....which now contains a hitatchi (i think) drive with my old samsung key mapped to it....This is working fine and has not been online since the xbox live cull so should be ok...
Now from reading up on the ixtreme firmware, does this mean i will have to revert back to the original firmware before re-flashing the ixtreme firmware...??
any help would be much appreciated...
