I have read a few posts and i don't think I have come across exactly what I'm looking for, so I'm just gonna post a new topic, hope you guys can help me out.

Last night I tried modding one of my buddies boxes. He so happens to have a MS28, which I didn't think I would run into a problem considering I just did another one of my friends boxes just the other day and his was a MS28 and everything went smoothly. I have a MS25 and mine too went smoothly, but this MS28 last night has given me some major problems that I can't figure out. I have the VIA PCI that I ordered off of newegg and works fine with connecting to 360 drives and having it recognized. The problem I am having is when I go to iDump.

After making the flash drive bootable and putting the firmware on it, I then turn off my computer and then turn both the 360 and then PC on at the same time. It boots off my flash drive and goes into dos. I then connect the SATA cable to the back of the 360 [And yes I have the video cables plugged in as well] then "iDump xxxxxxx xxxxx" and hit enter, it detects XTREME, I then power off xbox, wait 5 secs, 10secs, 20sec, 7secs, I've tried a lot and can't seem to get what interval it is, but anywho when I try any and then power back on it starts to dump and will freeze on the percentage and its random each time I retry. I've gotten it to freeze at 01%, 00%, 88%, 13%, 24%, 50%, 33%, its random but it will stop and just sit there. I then have to delete the orig.bin under the serial number and re-do it again. I have tried numerous times, well around my "50th" time I was getting annoyed and started turning box off, and pc then power back on and repear the procedure but I'd just type in 7 random numbers then 5 random numbers then try and see if the iDump would work, well on one of the randoms I tried it finally flashed and went through and gave me success and confirmed old/new firmware. This happened once I disconnected my HDD's and DVD drives. So I assume o that was the problem then (even though I modded both mine (MS25) and my buds (MS28) and never disconnected them). I then rebot PC and go into windows and acess my flash drive, I just save the orig.bin and then delete all the folders off all the random numbers i generated along with everything on the flash. I did this cause I wanted to start new and then re-do it with the actual SN thinking that the problem was cause the drives were connected. Well now I reboot PC into dos along with turning box on (same procedure as before) and iDump (my real serial this time) i then detect XTREME, power off then power on after about 8 secs, and it starts doing it all over again. Freezes each time at a certain percentage. By now I'm really pissed. So I try to do the 0800 disk and switch it to MS25 and try that way. I do that and now I can just select XTREME and hit it and it starts to dump but it does the same thing as before an freezes. I have no idea what in the heck is goin on with it. So this morning I wake up and try before I go to work, around 5th time I get the dump to actually work on my serial number, but when it finished it said success and it only showed me the first section, it didn't show me the orig/new firmware and drive key status. I also noticed the datasum was 00000, which I believe when you dump it should have some numeric value. Now it created a orig.bin and a hacked.bin, so I try to flash after i reboot box and pc, then get into dos, plug in sata, then type iFlash and my SN, then select XTREME and it trys bank1 and gets 00% fail then goes to 2nd bank and says 01% failed then freezes, and Im assuming its doing this mainly cause its still having freezing problems as with the iDump and the idump didn't successfully make a backup and hacked.bin. Also now when I re-try and do iDumps before I tried the iFlash the lights on my 360 arent like they were before. It use to flash green when turning on, go 1-4 blink, then circle around light, then gets bright and stays there and when i try to dump it would flicker (like its suppose to do trying to read the drive) but ever since the 1st successful dump I started noticing sometime after a few attempts that now each time u power it on it does the same steps except it fades away and it doesnt blink when its trying to flash.

I now don't know what to do and need some help. I have reconnected the xbox normally and when i power it on the green lights come on, goes 1-4 blink, then does a circle, gets bright and then fades away. I get nothing on screen nor sound, its still on but no green lights. I have even tried loading the orig.bin that I had on the first successful attempt of the iDump and that does not load correctly or work. There is something that is causing freezes once i try to read or access the drive. Please let me know your thoughts.
