Via Vt6421 Sata Card For Benq?
« on: September 20, 2007, 08:22:00 PM »

Good? This seems to be the best all around card. Can anyone confirm it's good for the Benq? I have a Promise chipset based Matrox SATA card but hardly anybody has this and I don't wanna take any chances bricking my drive.

benq is a lot different then Hitachi and samsung, it doesn't like my via vt8237 which is best for flashing Hitachi and samsung but i have heard of ppl getting the card to work, its really strange.
i would try the sata chipset you have now, if it doesn't work then get a via card, it wont hurt the drive to dump it, just make sure you dump it 4x and compare them to each other (to make sure there valid).

ok. So if I am able to dump it then that means I should not have any problems flashing it (like bricking it)?

No, you wont brick it.  If you have a bad flash, simply flash again.
