I've modded my previous 360 with the NME 1.2 chip and just today I picked up a new Elite and it has a Benq drive.

I have read all the posts about getting the key from the benq and samsung, but I don't want to use iXtreme firmware on the Sammy. Just original firmware with the Benq key.

So here comes the silly question, do I just extract the key from the sammy and hexedit the key from the benq into the sammy firmware and then re-flash it??

Is that it??

I tend to be a little Mac centric on the tools I use, so what are the PC tools of choice for the above??

What the point of replacing a Benq drive (that is the most superior drive on the market today) with a Samsung when you just want to keep playing originals?
ah.. ok.. I get it, you want to use the NME 1.2 chip with the samsung.

Yeah, well, you will have to insert the key and spoofing information into the samsung firmware.
Use Hex Workshop for PC.  I have a Mac myself and would love to hear about a good Hex editor for OSX (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)
