sweet! i got a 360 coming from the repair center today, they told me i was a new one (well see). hopefully i get one with the Benq drive. the Philips VAD6035/21 rained supreme in the xbox1, kicked the shit outta the sammy. also i thought i saw in earlier post for ixtreme for the hitachi when it was in development that C4eva had already made an ixtreme firmware for the Benq. probably just testing it now. well see very soon guys. SWEET!

ive tried so many time to solder wires to the traces on the board and it never ever sticks, ive tried scrathing off the film to get the metal underneath and never had any luck , can anyone give me any pointers please.
Many thanks in advance

3 Items: Soldering Flux, New/Clean Soldering Tip, and Good Solder.... all from Radio Shack  wink.gif

Now I regret trading my friend my new BenQ 360 for his new Sammy 360. That thing was sooo quiet. This would've been the perfect combination (BenQ + iXtreme)  sad.gif

Exciting news, I will have to say.

There is nothing MS can distribute that brilliant minds cannot crack.

You should always scratch the film off to expose the bare metal. simply set the solder on the trace , press the iron down, it should melt the solder , sometimes moving the tip around a bit on the trace will help "tin" it.   once you have done that , Tin your wire that you are going to attach to the trace , next place the tinned wire on the tined trace and press it down using the iron. both sides should melt and stick together, sometimes having a little excess solder on the tip of the iron will help get things flowing.

Good Luck----- and dont use old solder. -- look for Rosin Core solder smile.gif no need to deal with messy flux

You still need to be able to read the key from the BenQ drive.  This method is the only way.

ok here is a windows solution, (I think that will work with all chipsets)

Attention! there is a small bug. If you close the app your PC will freeze probably!!!

howto:
1. boot into windows/vista
2. flip the switch to “off” position
3. plug in SATA cable
4. power on x360 or use the connectivity kit
5. flip the switch to “on” position (no hurry)
6. and now start DosFlash32.exe
7. scroll the posts and you will see "MX(25L2005)(3,3V)"
8. read/write the flash now!!
