Ms28 Iprep Dump Problems
« on: July 20, 2007, 08:42:00 PM »

Motherboard, I think is Abit KV8 Pro (8237). I flashed my MS28 previously on the same computer.

I tried a 128mb Stick (The same exact stick I used last time also) and It says DISK SYSTEM ERROR, PLEASE INSERT AND PRESS ENTER (Something like that). Then I took the SD Card from my DS and I tried it and it says the same thing. I try the NTFSCD method and it goes thru the 10 second thing then at 1% of dumping it asks to Terminate Batch File, Yes = Abort and No = Keeps going then fails

After that, I quit and flashed my cousin's 360(Hitachi).

are you trying to redo your USB, or the error was booting?

If it is redoing it, then you can use you old method XBM of doing the usb, and using the following How To Flash/Update To Latest iXtreme firmware: Tutorial, iPrep or Xtreme Boot maker / Via card method. It is not dependant on the method to create the USB.

Hi!

Ive only tried the CD method as I don't think my motherboard supports booting from USB. I managed to find a bios update for it after hours of searching, This update has added USB legacy support which I have enbaled but when I go to boot options no USB devices are listed I just get the usual cd rom floppy disc hard drive options. Is there anything else which would have to be changed in my bios or does it just look like i wont be able to USB boot.

My motherboard is: Fujitsu D1627-C

Boot sequence in Bios:

CD-ROM Drive
-Diskette
        Standard
-Hard Drive
         WDC WD2500JS-55NCBI-(QM)
          Alternate Device
Legacy Lan Card
Bootmanager UNDI PXE-2.0 (build 084)

Thanks

One other thing to add.

After I have turned off the xbox and then selected the correct drive in Iprep (XTREME) textbooks guide says I should get a PORT ERROR howver I don't it just gives me a prompt. When I turn back on the xbox I get the error Terminate Batch File, Yes = Abort and No. I have tried having the xbox turned off for anywhere between a split second and 10 minutes still same error.

Fixed it!!! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Used an SD memory card and worked flawlessly. Bit worried when Iprep generated a read error when creating the bootable sd card. But plugged it in with all other drives unplugged and worked a charm!
