Is It Possible To Flash Dvd With Sata Expresscard?

Pretty much the title.  My laptop doesn't have a pcmcia slot, only expresscard.  There are expresscard sata cards so that is not a problem.  Has anyone tried toflash their dvd with an expresscard?

And, if I may extend the question... Is there any via based expresscard that would work with Samsung drives?

Lookin' for the same thing, Expresscard Sata Controller with "via chipset".  Someone has to have figured this out by now.  Better keep searching...
