It would be great if you could add 720p & 1080i Resolutions. Seeing it at 480p isnt bad but id like to take advantage of 720p  biggrin.gif

Btw DaddyLongLegs,

You'll get lost repeatedly on some of Terranigma's levels, but it's worth sticking out because the game is arguably the best action RPG on the system -- or any system for that matter.  Newer examples like Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance pale in comparison.  The controls are superb and the storyline's one of the best.  The ending and Easter eggs leading up to it are well worth the journey.

Personally, I feel that it's what Secret of Mana strived to be but failed.

Well have you thought about uploading your emulator to sendspace.com in one archive, and mail the link to xbins's owner?

Dear NES!

I am impressed. As far impressed! Great job!
And as someone already mentioned, the sound is much better
than in Snes9X.

But now, I have a question that sounds like a nightmare to
me since the day I bought my XBOX.

I am a pixelart addicted (I even work and do my living with pixel art
graphic development) and since the first emulator I tried on XBOX
I noticed that all graphics are blurred.

Peopletold me --- Hey, turn of the FILTERS...
But even with filters turned off, there is antialiasing
on every pixel.

Is this a XBOX native Graphic Card feature?
I have a ton of classic consoles and cartridges here
in my collection, and --- if I play Super Mario World
in a real SNES, I can see every pixel on screen
on a SHARPEN WAY. No blur at all.

But, on XBOX emulators (for all consoles) the pixels
are ever blurred, even while no using Eagle, HqX, etc.

After looking the examples on this page:
http://www.hiend3d.com/hq2x.html
I wonder if (please, I'm not requesting, just asking)
if is it possible to have on XBOX, a screen running
on a "nearest neighbour 2x" mode.

SHARPEN, very very oldskool sharpen!
Oh my God, am I daydreaming and speaking non-sense?

Thanks for the attention,
And keep the good work.

I am a Icon Designer, maybe I can help
providing Icons and Backgrounds for the emulator.

Cospefogo.

I think you're just confused by semantics...what you're talking about are the graphics filters, but what people have been telling you about are the "flicker", or blurring, filters.  The XBox indeed has hardware blurring built in, selectable from a range of 0 (no blur hence heavy flicker) to 5 (big blur hence no flicker).  X-Port's emulators have the highest blur set by default, under Video settings, below the "filters".  I believe they're called Flicker Filters in his emulators.  Other emulators like FBA-XXX Pro and MAMEoX128Plus! also take advantage of these filters.  In any event, it sounds like you want to set your Flicker Filters to 0 or 1, with Simple2X filtering, for the most "realistic" recreation.  There is something to be said to for resizing your display to an exact multiple of the emulated system's native resolution, too.

As to your icon skills...there is a great need, as I see it, for skilled icon makers in the XBox emulator scene.  Check out this collection of emulator icons I've compiled over the months... http://xbox.nugnugnu...addetails&lid=5  ...there are a number of holes that could use a skilled hand to patch em.  By that I mean there are no icons out there for a number of systems readily emulatable on the XBox.  Also, now that there are two viable SNES emulators, it would be nice to see a pair of distinct icons, one for each, emerge.

Well,
I must seriously thank you very much, Chron! Finally someone clarified the misty nightmare
that was bothering me so much every sleeping night. FLICKERING! This is the key!
Flickering set to ZERO and a proper multiple resizing display resolution.

I did not know about the Flickering stuff because I was using old versions of my
X-Port and Mame emulators. I got NeoGenesis V20 and it is there!! The Flicker options,
from 0 to 5. You know, I was using original dash and emulators all on DVD, so
it was a long time without update anything.

It is only NeoGenesis, Mame128 and FBA-XXX who have this
Flickering options? I am trying to find a new version for FCEUltra, Sms and Hugo to
check if the option in now on the configuration panels.
It will be a real trasure to play NES/FAMICOM with ZERO Flickering!

By the way, I have been browsing NugNugNug and signed up yesterday.
Are you from the NugNugNug administration crew?
What a great site, huh? Since I am addicted to the retrogaming scene,
I wonder if may I colaborate with few "Simple & Retro" skins for some
emulators? Now I have stuff running on my Xbox HD, I want to add
new skins for my stuff.

Thanks again, Chron!

Fceultra has been discontinued by Xport, the latest Nes emu port by Xport is now Mednafenx-Nes
for SMS you'll need MekaX
and instead of Hugo there's now Mednafenx-PCE

All by xport and with the latest xport Gui, so if you're lucky the flicker filter should be there.

Hey, thanks, glad to hear this helped.  If there were no adjustable Flicker settings before on X-Port's emulators, there are now...he has updated FCEultra and Hugo to this new interface (now they're called MednafenX though), so if he didn't have them before they're there now.  I only mentioned MAMEoX128 Plus! and FBA-XXX Pro because as of late they've included the option for no flicker filter (0 in addition to 1-5).  I wish I could follow my own advice now and set all my emulators perfectly for my TV, but I move the XBox around too much...need more XBoxes.

As for the nugnugnug site, I'm honored to be on the administration team, 'tis true.  Guybird too, and hargle as the true administrator who runs/designed the site.  Good to hear you've signed up...if you peek around threads about the site, you'll probably see that guybird is on a crusade to update the GUI of all non-arcade emulators with selectable game art based on CRC, implemented via DATs.  In short, if this is to ever happen we'd need people who can skin...so glad to hear you've got some interest in that.

The rom is probably interleaved. ZSNES does not support interleaved roms.
